The new Back Cove 30 motor
yacht is set to make its Australasian boat show debut at the Sanctuary Cove
International Boat Show, 19-22 May 2011.
Emarine Australia, exclusive
Australian importer of Back Cove Yachts, will have both the Back Cove 30 and
Back Cove 37 on show and the company is looking forward to a positive event.
Emarine principal Jed
Elderkin said he had seen an encouraging start to the year so far.
"We've sold four Back Cove
boats in the first two months this year, so there are definitely serious buyers
out there," Mr Elderkin said.
"Sanctuary Cove is a
fantastic show and we really hope 2011 will be a big one for us.
"I'm always excited to debut
a new model at a boat show... the first Back Cove 30 arrived in Australia at the
end of last year and we have already sold five of them – it's a wonderful boat
for this region."
The new 30 epitomises Back Cove's modern evolution of a time-honoured
style. Presenting a traditional spoon bow, deep vee and stylish, gently sloping
transom, the Back Cove 30 offers the elegance of a traditional Maine lobster
boat. The hull has been constructed using state-of-the-art infusion technology
for reduced weight and increased strength making this model even more fuel-efficient
than its predecessor, the Back Cove 29.
Internally, the new boat features a comfortable V-berth that converts to
seating around a saloon table. The Back Cove 30 also features a fully-equipped
galley along with separate head and shower. Cockpit space is well laid-out and
the helm position offers clear, all-round lines of sight; large signature
windows create a bright and airy space in the cockpit deck.
The Back Cove 30 can reach cruising speeds of around 20kt with the
standard 315hp diesel engine (upgrade available). With downward turning chines
forward, the boat will plane with little effort meaning an efficient transition
with little bow rise. Standard specification includes a bow thruster lending to
the efficiency of the Back Cove 30 and making manoeuvring simple.
