Locking away a number of significant new boat sales in the
first half of 2011, Emarine Australia's successful year continued during the
recent Sydney International Boat Show.
As the Australasian agent for Back Cove and (sister brand) Sabre
motor yachts, Emarine took deposits on two more vessels during the show – one
for a Back Cove 30 and the other for the new Back Cove 34.
Emarine Australia director Jed Elderkin said the order for
the Back Cove 34 was placed "sight unseen", as the new model was launched just
this past weekend at the Maine Boats, Homes and Harbours Show in the US.
"Back Cove
has a deserved reputation in the Australian market as a brand of absolute
quality," Mr Elderkin said.
"At the forefront
of boatbuilding technology, the company creates exceptional offshore-capable
vessels that combine traditional good looks with modern practicality, comforts
and ease of maintenance.
"To take an
order for a new model from someone who had only read about it – a vessel which
hadn't even been launched at that time – is testament to the strong demand in
Australia for expertly-engineered and flawlessly-finished vessels."
Emarine's
on-water display at the Sydney International Boat Show also incorporated the
Australasian launch of the Sabre 40 Sedan. This unique, functional and
head-turning vessel blends Sabre's classic style with cutting-edge build
methods, such as infusion hull construction, and the application of
ultra-modern technology including Zeus azipod drives and Skyhook positioning
system.
Making the
trek from the US for the occasion, Sabre Yachts' vice president marketing and
sales Bentley Collins again acknowledged Emarine Australia's dedication and
success with both the Back Cove and Sabre brands.
"Five or
six years ago, Australian boat show patrons would ask ‘what's a Back Cove?',"
Mr Collins said.
"During
this year's Sydney show, I heard countless people say when they visited
Emarine's exhibit ‘that's the Back Cove 37 and there's the new Sabre 40', which
is a direct reflection on Jed's incredible effort since he started Emarine
Australia in 2006."
