Serious
anglers all over the country have been quick to snap-up Bar Crusher's limited
edition Apache, with just 15 boats remaining.
The
award-winning Australian boat manufacturer committed to build just 50 of these
special models to celebrate its 10th anniversary, with the first Apache
launched mid-2010.
Built on
the same hull that is considered by knowledgeable boaters as the perfect
all-round boat for Australian conditions, the 610C (formerly 560C), the
remaining 15 order slots are expected to fill quickly.
Measuring
6.10m LOA with a 2.25m beam, the Bar Crusher Apache is constructed from
high-tensile 4mm (bottom sides) and 3mm (top sides) commercial marine grade
plate aluminium.
Bar
Crusher's high-tech Waveslicer™ non-pounding, deep-V hull delivers an
ultra-smooth ride, the expertly-engineered Rigideck™ sub-floor system ensures
maximum hull strength, while the company's exclusive Quickflow™ water ballast
technology ensures the boat is extremely stable at rest.
But that's
where the similarities with the standard 610C end. The Apache features a
distinctive colour scheme – black sides and US Aircraft Grey top decks, cabin
and interior – deluxe seats are fitted as standard, and the cabin, roof and
rear cockpit have all been lined to make the boat stealthily quiet.
Inline with
the Apache's combative appearance, the custom-built, fully-galvanised Easytow
trailer is painted black (to match the hull) and features low-profile mag
wheels, along with an upgraded winch and jockey wheel.
Rated to
carry a 115-150hp outboard, the Apache's superior performance capabilities,
150L fuel capacity and spacious cabin configuration make it ideal for offshore
fishing expeditions with mates or estuary adventures with the family.
As a
hardcore boat for hardcore anglers, rod holders, livebait tank, in-floor fish
storage tank, berley bucket, large-volume storage pockets and an easy-to-clean
checkerplate deck are among a long list of standard fishing-related features.
As with all
models in Bar Crusher's cuddy cabin range, the folding gas-strut roof (with
side clears) provides much needed protection from the elements while on the
water, yet when folded it reduces the on-trailer height by a metre for easy
storage under carports and in garages.
