Bar Crusher's 560XS Reef
Sport was recently named ‘Boat of the Year, Aluminium Under 8m' in the 2009
West Australian Marine Awards.
In a state where there is
vigorous competition in the aluminium trailerboat segment, the award is a big
honour for the Bar Crusher team and testament to the innovation and performance
of the product.
According to the WA judges,
the Victorian-built 560XS stood out for its ‘fishability' and ‘flexibility' as
a hardcore fishing machine.
Designed as a ‘crossover'
boat to excel in all scenarios from the river to the reef, the 560XS is
constructed from heavy duty, pre-stressed marine grade plate aluminium,
measures 6.10m LOA, beam 2.25m, and is rated to carry up to a 150hp outboard.
The low-profile centre
console is positioned further aft and a number of seat spigots are located in
the deck, which allows seats to be moved around the boat or taken out
altogether, for maximum fishing space.
Rod holders, forward casting
platform, livebait tank, in-floor fish storage tank, berley bucket,
large-volume storage pockets and an easy-to-clean treadplate deck are among the
boat's long list of fishing-related features.
The 560XS – along with the
larger 620XS and 640XS – follows in the footsteps of every Bar Crusher model to
