electronics brand B&G has received the 2011 National Marine Manufacturers
Association (NMMA) Innovation Award for its groundbreaking B&G Zeus
multifunction display.
Announced during the 70th
annual Miami International Boat Show, the NMMA innovation award honours
products that best meet the criteria of ‘innovative distinction from other
products currently being manufactured; benefit to the marine industry and/or consumer;
practicality; and cost-effectiveness.'
Awarded in the consumer
electronics category, and designed specifically for sailors, the feature-packed
B&G Zeus multifunction displays offer full integration with GPS, Broadband
Radar, Automatic Identification System (AIS), weather, entertainment and
digital switching.
Available in 20.3cm
(8") and 30.5cm (12") LED-backlit displays, the high-specification
B&G Z8 and Z12 displays include GRIB weather file display and animation,
chart overlays displaying sailing laylines and WindPlot and TimePlot
histograms.
The powerful Zeus system
also integrates seamlessly with data from B&G H3000 instruments, GPS,
radar, AIS and award-winning Broadband Radar technology.
The Z8 and Z12 displays
also integrate with a range of other approved Ethernet, SimNet and NMEA2000
devices, such as the new SonicHub audio server for onboard entertainment, the
Broadband Sounder Module and ground-breaking StructureScan Sonar Imaging
technology, which is ideal for finding safe anchorages and knowing what lies
below the keel.
